Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the operations of our community-based physician practices, ensuring a smooth patient flow and providing exceptional clinical support.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate pre-visit preparations, including addressing patient needs and ensuring relevant labs and tests are scheduled and completed prior to office visits.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and take vital signs.
- Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including injections and EKGs.
- Obtain blood specimens in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide assistance to providers with office procedures.
- Prepare requisitions and submit specimens to the laboratory.
- Communicate with patients regarding laboratory, imaging results, and prescription instructions.
- Clean and restock exam rooms.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of patient records.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is strongly preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Current national medical assistant certification with one of the following organizations preferred: American Assoc. of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
