  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, including radiation dosage, equipment control settings, and patient reactions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and oncologists to make recommendations concerning patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with new procedures and treatments by seeking information and direction when needed.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the office.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • Licensure: Licensed by the State Department of Health and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T).
  • Certification: Successfully passing the certification test.
  • Professional Standards: Adhere to ethical standards and maintain CPR certification.
Working Conditions

The Radiation Therapist will work in a clean and comfortable climate with some exposure to clinically infectious diseases and contact with bodily fluids. The work environment is quiet to moderate noise, and the ability to lift and assist in the movement of patients is required.
