Job Summary

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by producing accurate and detailed cardiac ultrasonic recordings. Your expertise will help diagnose and study heart conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including stress echos, bubble studies, and contrast echos, to evaluate heart anatomy and hemodynamics.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to department protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and compile clinical data for physician interpretation of echo records.
  • Deliver patient care for all age groups, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling, filing, and maintaining patient records.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound/echo sonography program.
  • One year of post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound or demonstrated high proficiency in diagnostics or ultrasound.
  • Current registration by ARDMS or certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
