Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team as a Shelter Medicine Specialist. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to shelter animals, including spay/neuter surgeries, medical exams, and treatment of injured or sick animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform spay/neuter surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
  • Conduct medical exams and diagnose illnesses or injuries
  • Develop and implement medical treatment plans for shelter animals
  • Train and supervise veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and DEA requirements

Requirements:

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Texas
  • USDA accreditation and DEA registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
