**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Child Welfare Specialist - Adoption Support to join our team at Community Based Care of Brevard, Inc. This role requires a strong understanding of child welfare services and adoption processes.

**Estimated Salary:** $53,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare documentation for court hearings, as needed, and attend or testify at these events.
  • Prepare cases for adoption finalization, participate in permanency and case-related staffings, and assess family matches.
  • Complete child studies, adoption home studies, and assist in placing children in adoptive homes.
  • Perform additional adoption-related duties, as required.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of Florida Statute Chapter 39 and the Florida Administrative Code.
  2. Valid driver's license, with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
  3. Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related behavioral health field.
  • Master's degree in social work or a related field, preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in child welfare services or a related field.
  • State of Florida Child Welfare Certification (CWCM).
