Emergency Room Technician

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As an ER Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our emergency department team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, splints, and CPR as needed.
- Operate and maintain equipment properly, perform testing with efficiency, and obtain and document vital signs, intake and output amounts, and other designated information.
- Collect specimens as required and prioritize duties according to current policy.
- Perform sterile urethral catheterizations and conduct self in a proficient and professional manner.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations at all times and assist with turning, lifting, and positioning patients to prepare for exams and procedures.
- Support and promote an environment that is conducive to quality customer service and respond to emergency situations in the hospital according to current policy.
- Properly document all procedures as required and obtain equipment or supplies as necessary for patient care.
- Assist physicians and nurses with physical examinations and treatment, transport patients to other departments in the hospital and off campus, and maintain a clean work area in patient rooms.
- Provide wound care, shave, prep, clean, and dress as directed, utilizing sterile technique, and insert IV & IO catheters.
