Role Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of all machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality in line with operational manuals and specifications. This role involves working with various mechanical systems, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and identify equipment issues.
  • Conduct repairs on production machinery, ranging from basic hydraulic systems to advanced CNC equipment, performing both electrical and mechanical tasks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical failures effectively.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders regarding repair processes and timelines.
  • Engage in daily meetings to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Observe and analyze mechanical operations to detect issues.
  • Collaborate with external vendors when necessary to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Refer to schematics and blueprints to guide repair work.
  • Dismantle machinery to access and replace defective components using appropriate tools.
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment parts and control instruments as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and execute projects involving hardware and software upgrades.
  • Willingness to travel as required for maintenance tasks.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Adaptability in working with diverse teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machinery maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HAAS, DOOSAN, and MATSUURA machine systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to equipment operation.
  • Valid driving record with no infractions over the past three years.
  • Experience in both break-fix and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficiency in advanced PLC, robotics, and CNC repair.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
  • Ability to perform a range of repairs in mechanical and electrical maintenance roles.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS.
  • Competence in using both standard and specialized tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to retrieve parts and supplies from various distances.
  • Frequent physical activities including walking, climbing, and bending.
  • Regular use of hands for various tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights as specified.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Ability to work in loud environments and varying climate conditions.
  • Familiarity with working in environments with potential fumes or airborne particles.
