Onsite Women's Health is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Per Diem Mammography Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of office environments, utilizing the latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions
- Assist in the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice
- Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties
- Operate mammographic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors
- Practice radiation protection techniques and follow prescribed safety standards
- Examine digital images for image quality and ensure equipment is in proper working order
- Process routine paperwork and data entry, and participate in professional development activities
- 2 years of experience in mammography
- ARRT certification
- Ability to work independently and be patient-centric, compassionate, and computer-savvy
