Job Summary:

This is an entry-level union-represented position that provides on-call clerical support to various departments within the South Shore Line organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including ticket sales, data entry, storehouse management, and passenger communication services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-call clerical support to administration, finance, and other departments as needed.
  • Process ticket sales and manage storehouse inventory.
  • Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate with passengers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be available for overtime and emergency call-outs as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent required; certificates, associate, or bachelor's degrees preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Guest service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work assignments.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments.
