Key Responsibilities
As a Safety and Security Specialist, your duties will include:
- Ensuring a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Conducting regular patrols and enforcing safety protocols within the facility.
- Monitoring surveillance systems and alarms, and providing assistance during both routine and emergency situations.
- Responding promptly to emergencies and documenting incidents with detailed reports.
- Offering escort services and ensuring the safety of individuals within the premises.
Work Environment
Safety and Security Specialists may be required to work in various settings, including:
- Outdoor conditions, which may involve exposure to varying weather elements.
- Extended shifts during critical situations.
- All areas of the medical center, including less accessible spaces.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Licenses:
- Valid California Driver License is essential.
- California Guard Card is required.
Experience:
Proficiency in typing and the ability to generate computer-based incident reports and logs. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the capability to interact professionally with all personnel and the public.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods on various surfaces. Occasional climbing, running, and bending are required, as well as the ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 80 lbs. Constant use of hands and eyes is necessary for monitoring and reporting tasks. Must be capable of working in personal protective equipment when assisting medical personnel.
