As a Registered Nurse RN in our Med Surg department, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and other data to inform care decisions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Indiana.
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a Med Surg or critical care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
