Job Summary:

The General Labor - Sanitation will report to the Sanitation Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day sanitation of the bakery. This includes cleaning the facility and production equipment, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and adhering to all employer safety and health rules, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, and floors, removing trash, and disinfecting all refrigerator units.
  • Perform washing and cleaning of equipment, proofers, freezers, and spiral coolers.
  • Perform maintenance cleaning of the exterior of the facility.
  • Responsible for maintaining supplies such as paper products for bathrooms and towel dispensers in all buildings.
  • Oversee storage of all cleaning supplies and disinfect equipment.
  • Work to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Preferred two years of production sanitation experience.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Work in hot and cold environments on occasion.
