OB/GYNs Wanted in Florida for High-Quality Care

First Physicians Group, a renowned healthcare organization, is seeking skilled OB/GYNs to join its team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Located on the West Coast of Florida, this esteemed hospital has been recognized among U.S. News & World Report's 50 Best Hospitals for Obstetrics/Gynecology Care.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with advanced technology, including five daVinci Xi Robots. The hospital's Level III NICU features 33 private rooms, ensuring personalized care for newborns. Additionally, our team provides 24/7 Neonatology and Maternal Fetal Medicine physician coverage.
We are looking for Board Eligible or Board Certified OB/GYNs who are licensed in Florida and hold a current DEA Certificate. Graduates of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN program are highly desired. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes delivering high-quality patient care.
Sarasota Highlights:- Our OB/GYNs see patients in the clinic setting, provide surgical services in the hospital, and collaborate with our employed OB Hospitalist group.
- Equitable call in both practices ensures a balanced workload.
- Outpatient services are provided in two clinic locations, with both practices staffed at one hospital – SMH-Sarasota.
Sarasota Memorial Hospital boasts an impressive delivery record, performing over 4,200 deliveries in 2023. Our hospital has received level III Maternal Care Verification from the Joint Commission and recognition for its quality care and best patient experience nationwide.
Venice Highlights:- In Venice, you will join three experienced physicians and an APRN with equitable call.
- Staffed at one hospital – SMH-Venice.
- Convenient outpatient clinic location in the Medical Office Building attached to the hospital.
SMH-Venice is rapidly expanding, with plans to more than double in size to 400 beds, 16 surgical suites, and a 50-bed ER. This growth reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive care to the south county community.
A Competitive Compensation PackageWe offer a 2-year employment contract with a generous salary and bonus potential, ranging from $300,000 to $600,000 once practice is established. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 403B Retirement Plan, 5 days/$3500 CME, 4 weeks of PTO to start then max at 5 weeks, and many other perks.
As an employee of First Physicians Group, you will enjoy sovereign immunity, eliminating the need for tail coverage if you decide to leave the practice. We are a not-for-profit entity (501c3), allowing you to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. With no state tax in Florida, your take-home pay will be higher than in other states.
