Director of Family Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Family Services to join our team at Homes for the Homeless, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader who can oversee the performance of our dedicated Case Manager Supervisor and Case Managers in ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for our families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train Family Services staff to ensure compliance with procedures and protocols.
- Conduct case conferences and assist case management staff in motivating clients to follow through on independent living plans.
- Collaborate with childcare, adult, and children's education departments' staff to maximize client participation and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with OTDA and DHS guidelines and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and schools.
- Provide reports to agency administrators and central office as required.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience supervising social services staff.
- Experience working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services and DHS CARES system.
- Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is strongly preferred.
