Job Summary:

Blue Ox Moving and Storage is seeking a skilled Moving Specialist to join our team. As a Moving Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and packing customers' items, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring a smooth and efficient moving experience for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and pack customers' items to prevent damage during transit
• Load and unload customers' items using dollies and ramps
• Arrange items in the truck to fit the load and prevent objects from falling or getting damaged
• Offload truck at destination and place items per customers' request
• Assemble furniture
• Track inventory to ensure nothing gets lost or damaged
• Answer customers' questions and address requests they have for how they want items packed, loaded, and unloaded
• Provide information about price and time estimates and address any concerns
• Process payments from customers
• Communicate effectively between the customer and the local office for any questions or concerns that may arise during move
• Responsible for keeping moving trucks clean and help perform general vehicle maintenance
• Assist other support staff with assigned functions as needed

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• High School Diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience
• Driving experience preferred but not required
• Able to move furniture and lift at least 70lbs
• Ability to successfully engage with customers face to face while on the job
• Must be professional and respectful at all times
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and background check
