Your Role at the YMCA:
As a Child Care Program Supervisor, you will guide children in developing teamwork and social skills in Before and After School programs. Your primary responsibilities will involve working directly with youth who have diverse needs in one-on-one or small group settings, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth through engaging activities.
You will also support the daily operations of the program, which includes family interactions, check-in and check-out procedures, and site management.

- Implement daily lesson plans and activities.

- Regularly observe, schedule, and evaluate each child's progress.

- Keep accurate program records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Preferred two years of experience working with children with diverse needs.
- Meet educational and experience requirements set by relevant authorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of twelve college credits in any one hundred-level or above coursework within five years of employment.
- Provide documentation of all certifications and training as required.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming.
- Fluency in a second language is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Lead and participate in various activities in both indoor and outdoor settings. Requires sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and supervise activities safely. Staff may need to lift weights of approximately 50 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear; use hands repetitively; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
Mental Demands:
Regularly use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data; analyze and solve complex problems; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information; perform detailed work on multiple tasks; work under deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interact with various individuals, including those who may be dissatisfied.
