Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing, directing, and coordinating all operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at the designated site to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. The role involves supervising and coordinating the efforts of skilled trades personnel engaged in the upkeep and repair of equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and surrounding areas at the assigned location.

Key Responsibilities

Administer O&M management functions, addressing a variety of actions and challenges related to assigned contracts. Oversee management strategies aimed at achieving contractual goals while providing guidance and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades, and crafts. Schedule and manage work assignments effectively. Prepare and submit various monthly progress reports in line with contract and company requirements. Manage and allocate contract resources; monitor budgets associated with assigned contracts. Ensure the safety of all personnel on site, including subcontracted staff, while adhering to environmental standards and maintaining quality of work. Conduct training sessions for staff, including safety meetings and briefings. Investigate and resolve customer and employee complaints. Engage in fieldwork performing maintenance on HVAC systems, dedicating remaining time to contract management duties. Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

In-depth knowledge of various codes and standards relevant to O&M tasks, including PWS, TJC, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Proficient in the operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, fire safety systems, and security systems. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. Capable of conducting accident investigations and safety inspections. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience

Proven experience in a healthcare business occupancy medical facility O&M. Demonstrated experience in servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings, including managing a diverse workforce responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
