Software Build Engineer for Automotive Systems

**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Build and Release Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the build and release infrastructure for our complex software systems.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional software development experience and 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems. You will also have strong programming skills with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routinely merge source code between branches in a complex branching setup.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve infrastructure for a multi-site development team.
  • Develop processes and tools to maintain code base integrity.
  • Investigate and recommend best practices for maintaining code quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
