Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Information Assurance (IA) initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration among IA teams and related departments.
  • Manage the efforts of IA professionals to optimize resource utilization and achieve program objectives.
  • Facilitate risk and resource management, proactively identifying potential constraints and assessing the impact of system modifications.
  • Enhance stakeholder engagement through effective communication and relationship management.
  • Create and maintain executive-level dashboards that highlight critical project metrics, including risks, issues, and timelines.
  • Develop and uphold the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and other essential security documentation.
  • Evaluate existing governance and cybersecurity documentation for adherence to the Risk Management Framework.
  • Prepare accreditation packages to assist systems in obtaining and maintaining their Authorization to Operate (ATO).
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement improvement strategies.
  • Articulate technical findings to diverse audiences, including project managers and senior leadership.
  • Provide expert guidance on vulnerability and risk assessments within the cybersecurity domain.
Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model, combining remote work with occasional in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship with an active SECRET government security clearance, with the potential to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Information Assurance, particularly within federal environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project or task management.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and cybersecurity tools, including DISA STIGs and SCAP.
  • Experience in performance data analysis and metric development.
Desired Attributes
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Security+ CE or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of host-based security systems and compliance assessment solutions.
  • Proficiency in network vulnerability scanning and security information event management platforms.
  • Awareness of IT security best practices and system hardening techniques.
