Job Title: Experienced Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Engineer to join our team at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. As an I&C Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing process control systems for our nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop process control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Produce detailed design documents, including P&IDs, control logics, and loop diagrams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets safety and regulatory requirements
  • Perform field walk-downs to document as-installed conditions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in I&C design and development, preferably in the nuclear or process chemical industry
  • Proficient in 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software, such as MicroStation
  • Strong understanding of process control systems, including PLCs and DCS
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
