Chargemaster Coordinator

El Camino Health is seeking a highly skilled Chargemaster Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our revenue integrity team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our Charge Description Master (CDM) and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Maintain the CDM for all required elements, including CPT/HCPCS coding, UB-04 Revenue Codes, and pricing.
• Ensure the CDM remains compliant with changing billing and coding updates from CMS, AMA, and other government and commercial insurance payers.
• Provide education and guidance to clinical department charge capture staff on the use of CDM charges to capture billable services, supplies, and medications.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure the EHR system is updated with appropriate billing/charge codes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare-related field preferred.
• Five years of combined experience in hospital CDM and revenue integrity.
• Minimum two years of experience with physician/professional fee billing and/or revenue integrity.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; MS Access proficiency preferred.
• Outpatient hospital coding certification/proficiency preferred.
