Elementary Education Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Education Teacher to join our team at West Contra Costa USD - Richmond. As an Elementary Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Job Summary

The Elementary Education Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where students can thrive and reach their full potential. You will develop and implement engaging lesson plans, using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. In addition, you will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, aligned with the California state curriculum and district standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a love of learning and promoting social-emotional growth.
  • Assess student progress, using a range of assessment strategies to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and involving them in the learning process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop new ideas, and improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (General Subjects).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a similar educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
