Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a part-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Central Iowa. As a member of our Emergency Medicine department, you will have the opportunity to practice clinically across all four of our Emergency Departments, serving a diverse patient population.
Our Emergency Medicine department is a community-based practice with an academic tilt, providing employed physicians with the chance to experience exceptional variety in their practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an established team of experienced physicians and Advanced Practitioners, with advanced scheduling to accommodate work-life balance. We are a fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR, which improves care coordination and enhances the patient experience.
Responsibilities- Practice at all locations: Methodist, Lutheran, Methodist West, and Grinnell
- Shift duration varies by location: 12 hours, 9 hours, and 8 hours
- Explicit interest in educating EM residents
- Expectation to be involved with non-clinical activities: education, scholarly activity, and other non-clinical activities that advance departmental and organization goals
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
