Job Summary

This position is responsible for the proper registration and check-in of customer vehicles for auction sale. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or provide information via headset to a coworker for data entry for each vehicle received at the auction.
  • Affix barcode/stock number stickers on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone and report transport damage as needed.
  • Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield codes to drivers.
  • Ensure safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership to support safety activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise level.
