Position Overview
As a Finance Intern for Year-Round Engagement, you will be engaged for 20-25 hours per week during the academic semester, with opportunities for increased hours during the summer months. This role offers practical Finance experience, insights into strategic initiatives, and an understanding of Finance's contribution to achieving business goals. This unique internship program will provide a comprehensive experience within our finance department over several months.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern, you will participate in various departmental tasks, including:
- Conducting Financial Data Analysis.
- Preparing Financial Reports (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly).
- Assisting in routine closing processes.
- Supporting Operational Finance planning activities.
- Engaging in Lean methodologies (digitization/simplification).
- Participating in mentoring and networking opportunities within GE Appliances.
- Must be a full-time student enrolled in a four-year college or university program, pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to a year-round internship (minimum of two semesters).
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week on-site during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
