Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new repair processes and technologies to improve aircraft performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and services meet the highest industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to develop new processes and repairs on aerospace components.
  • Participate in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
  • Recognize and understand flight/product safety critical parts and processes, and immediately report any concerns.
  • Provide analytical support, evaluation, and calculations for new repair development studies and subsequent initiation.
  • Prepare engineering reports and data packages for repair development substantiation and approval.
  • Provide technical training support or mentoring for repair development and metallurgical analysis.
  • Direct acquisition of equipment as required to meet repair development objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Materials Science (required) or Master's degree in Materials Science (preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in repair process support and/or development (minimum).
  • 5-8 years of experience in repair process support and/or development (preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and typical repair processes for aerospace applications.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Knowledge of company process, company instruction, and rework process instruction manuals.
  • Extensive knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Expertise in MS Suites (Excel, Outlook, MS Word, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
