  • Document patient care and report observations to the supervising nurse.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with skin care and wound management, as prescribed by the physician.
  • Prepare meals according to special dietary needs and complex diets.
  • Assist with exercises and physical therapy, as instructed by the physician.
  • Perform and record urine tests for sugar and acetone, and tests for bacteria.
  • Measure intake and output, as directed by the physician.
Special Circumstances

Under special circumstances, Home Health Aides may be trained to perform additional tasks, such as administering medication, assisting with gastronomy feedings, and providing postural drainage. These tasks require specialized training and competency evaluation, and are subject to the discretion of the agency.
