Job Summary

As a Cashier at Villa Restaurant Group, you will be the front-line representative, responsible for processing Guest orders, handling payments, and providing Exceptional Guest Service. Your efficiency and friendly demeanor will contribute to a positive dining experience for our Guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Guest orders accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring correct menu items, modifications, and pricing.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently, providing correct change and receipts as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu items, specials, and any allergen information to assist Guests with their orders.
  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service by greeting Guests, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or special requests.
  • Suggest additional items or upsell promotions to enhance the Guest's order.
  • Ensure orders are packaged accurately and neatly, ready for pickup by Guests or delivery.
  • Maintain the cash register, count cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, and report any discrepancies.
  • Keep the cashier station and dining area clean and organized, including disposing of trash and cleaning surfaces as needed.
  • Monitor and manage the order queue, ensuring that orders are prepared and served promptly.
  • Assist in delivering orders to Guests or coordinating with runners for order delivery.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a cashier in a restaurant or customer service setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Exceptional Guest Service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operation is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
