Position Overview:
As an Electrical Engineer II, you will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering and design processes for construction documentation related to various projects.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop electrical specifications for critical components such as generators, motors, power transformers, and circuit breakers, with guidance from senior engineers as needed.

2. Create detailed drawings for new installations or modifications to existing power distribution systems, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts.

3. Review and verify engineering packages to ensure precision and quality. Contribute to the development of construction scopes of work and project execution plans.

4. Collect data from electrical systems and equipment, conducting field evaluations to support both new and existing power systems independently.

5. Size electrical equipment, cables, cable trays, and conduits accurately.

6. Assist in preparing technical evaluations for bids and coordinate the design of electrical heat trace systems.

7. Apply Hazardous Area Classification methodologies, determining classified areas and equipment requirements.

8. Perform electrical system modeling using software tools such as ETAP and SKM, utilizing field and manufacturer data to create accurate models.

9. Undertake additional job-related tasks as assigned.



Qualifications:


• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a relevant technical discipline from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial, petrochemical, chemical, or utility sectors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Essential Experience:

• Proficiency with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment (including switchgear, transformers, and MCCs).

• Experience in developing drawings for power distribution systems.

• Skills in sizing electrical equipment, cables, cable trays, and conduits.

• Familiarity with Hazardous Area Classification methodologies.

• Competence in reviewing engineering packages for accuracy and quality.


Desirable Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF editing software.


Licensing and Certification:

• Valid Driver's License as per state regulations.

• Registered Engineer Intern (E.I.) is preferred.

• TWIC card or the ability to obtain one.



Physical Requirements:


• Ability to navigate industrial plant and construction sites, including walking up to one mile outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Capability to work in protective clothing that may elevate body temperature for short durations.

• Proficiency in using multi-level stair towers and ladders without assistance.

• Ability to hear safety alarms while wearing hearing protection.

• Competence in sitting at a desk and operating a computer for extended periods.

• Physical capability to lift and carry weights of up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
