Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Emory Healthcare is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our Hospital Medicine Team. As an integral part of our integrated academic healthcare system, you will play a vital role in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients, working under the direction of a physician.
- Document patient care in medical records, conducting thorough patient interviews and documenting patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems.
- Perform physical examinations, specialized diagnostic procedures, and cast application and removal, wound suturing, and dressing changes.
- Assist in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment, working collaboratively with physicians.
- Order, schedule, and perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
- May require at least one year of direct experience in high acuity clinical specialties.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required, with ACLS certification possible in some areas.
- Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified for inpatient roles within Emory Healthcare.
