Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-driven Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery Unit at Methodist Hospitals. Responsibilities
  • Administer medications within the scope of practice and hospital policies.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical and mental status, interpreting lab and diagnostic results as needed.
  • Identify patient care requirements and work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient problems.
  • Promote patient independence by establishing care goals, teaching patients and significant others, and answering questions.
  • Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to administer medications per policy and procedure, follow National Patient Safety Goals, and interpret lab and diagnostic results.
  • Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, and ability to multi-task.
  • ED/ICU Requirement: ACLS, MED SURG AREAS Requirement: BLS.
  • Education: Bachelors Nursing Preferred, College Diploma Nursing Required, 2 years Required, Licensed Registered Nurse, Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation.
