Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Bronson Battle Creek, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care throughout their stay. This part-time position offers a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Provide physical care within the scope of nursing practice based on patient acuity and complexity.
- Document and communicate patient responses to care, resource utilization, and future needs during each shift.
Unit Description:
The MICU is a specialized 20-bed unit focused on patients with critical conditions such as heart failure, respiratory failure, and sepsis. Our multidisciplinary approach, combined with advanced technology, allows us to monitor and treat complex cases effectively.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred (must be obtained within 8 years of hire).
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in Michigan.
- Ability to interpret data from various systems and communicate effectively.
