Clinical Wound Care Specialist (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Wound Care Specialist (RN) to enhance our healthcare team focused on patient and family-centered care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and nursing personnel.
  • Contribute to the development and success of the Wound Care Program and its objectives.
  • Engage in staff development initiatives.
  • Facilitate educational programming for staff and residents.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance with policies and standards aligned with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure comprehensive care that promotes effective wound healing.
  • Deliver direct care for residents, focusing on assessment, treatment, and follow-up for wound management as prescribed.
  • Help implement individualized treatment plans for assigned residents.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with physicians regarding resident care and assist in regulatory compliance processes.
  • Innovate and implement new ideas to enhance healthcare delivery and improve systems for superior outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Current Wound Care and CPR certifications are mandatory. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Wound Care is required, with two (2) years preferred.
  • A current, unencumbered RN or LPN license to practice in the state is essential.
  • Must demonstrate qualifications, compassion, and a commitment to excellence in care.
