Position Summary:
This role reports to Culinary Management for 310 Provisions. The Culinary Pastry Cook will oversee food-service associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. Responsibilities include preparing food in alignment with federal, state, and corporate guidelines, while maintaining high-quality food service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of various pastry techniques, including scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing.
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of food on serving dishes.
- Prepare bakery items such as muffins, cakes, and desserts, while adhering to recipe guidelines.
- Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards, including temperature regulations.
- Assist in preparing meals for guests with specific dietary requirements.
- Understand and utilize kitchen tools, measurements, and equipment effectively.
- Practice HACCP procedures and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and management.
- Uphold a clean and safe work environment while performing assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a culinary setting, particularly in high-volume production.
- Culinary Education Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficient knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret recipes accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
- Adaptability to changing production needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational School training or High School certification.
- Culinary Education Degree or equivalent.
- Certification from a recognized culinary institution.
- Basic knowledge of wines.
- Recommendation from educational institution.
