Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer II to join our team at CarMax. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines to support our business operations and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines to integrate diverse datasets and ensure data governance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation in data integration and management.
  • Develop and maintain data management infrastructure to support business needs.
  • Ensure data consumers use data responsibly through data governance and compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data management or software development.
  • Experience with database/schema design, Azure Cloud technologies, and Snowflake.
  • Moderate experience with ETL/ELT, CDC, and advanced analytics tools.

Work Location and Arrangement:

This role will be based out of one of our technology hubs and have a hybrid work arrangement.
