Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee safety policies and procedures across job sites and fabrication facilities.
- Conduct thorough safety reviews and maintain documentation for all projects.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation sessions to educate employees on safety practices.
- Deliver live training sessions for Competent Persons in areas such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Excavation.
- Ensure that all safety documentation is current and accurate.
- Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to promote a culture of safety.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff on safety standards and practices.
- Be present during high-risk operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management for large-scale projects.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant safety experience.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- OSHA 500 Certification preferred or the ability to obtain it within six months.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills with the Company Loss Control Team.
