Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee safety policies and procedures across job sites and fabrication facilities.
  • Conduct thorough safety reviews and maintain documentation for all projects.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation sessions to educate employees on safety practices.
  • Deliver live training sessions for Competent Persons in areas such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Excavation.
  • Ensure that all safety documentation is current and accurate.
  • Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to promote a culture of safety.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff on safety standards and practices.
  • Be present during high-risk operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management for large-scale projects.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant safety experience.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • OSHA 500 Certification preferred or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with the Company Loss Control Team.
