Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to join our team at Ohio Health Grant Medical Center Emergency Room. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for screening and interviewing patients to determine their eligibility for Medicaid and other assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Review hospital work queues and census to identify uninsured patients admitted to the Emergency Room.
- Screen and interview patients bedside to determine possible eligibility for Medicaid and charity programs.
- Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers, hospital staff, and patients.
- Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Meet production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management.
- Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to multitask and type minimum 40 WPM.
- Reliable transportation necessary.
- Good attendance and dependability essential.
- Successful completion of drug and background test required.
- Annual Flu shots and TB testing required.
- COVID vaccine required.
