Position Title: Morning Aquatic Facility Caretaker
About Us: The Des Plaines Park District, founded in 1919, offers a diverse range of parks and amenities, delivering recreational and educational initiatives for the community. Our ongoing mission is to enhance lives daily.
Position Summary: The aquatic facility maintenance team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our swimming facilities throughout the year.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily upkeep and sanitation of swimming pools and aquatic facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness in locker rooms, restrooms, and concession areas.
- Vacuum swimming pool floors.
- Pressure wash pool deck surfaces.
- Collect debris and dispose of waste properly.
- Perform safety evaluations of pool environments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with specific maintenance requests as needed.
- Availability for overtime, including weekends, may be required.
- Provide assistance and information to patrons as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols outlined in the Park District guidelines.
- Collaborate with district personnel on various activities.
- Carry out other assigned tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
Education: Less than High School.
Experience: Previous related experience is preferred.
Certifications: A valid Driver's License is preferred.
