We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our nuclear medicine department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radioactive materials in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Survey and measure radiation levels in the department to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate a dose calibrator to measure the radioactive dosage prescribed for patients.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, examination results, and scan data.
- Prepare and label radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual surveys and quality control checks.
- Coordinate patient exams, order isotopes and pharmaceuticals as needed, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) and certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT).
