Position: Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist

Work Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist is responsible for the collection of specimens and the execution of diagnostic tests, ensuring that all procedures are performed accurately, efficiently, and promptly to support high-quality patient care. This role adheres to established protocols and guidelines while utilizing a range of complex testing techniques that require sound professional judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of intricate laboratory procedures that necessitate independent decision-making.
  • Perform moderate to high complexity testing while maintaining a collaborative environment with various organizational levels.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination of activities to foster positive relationships.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a degree from an accredited medical laboratory program and hold ASCP certification. Candidates with a four-year degree in a related scientific discipline and relevant experience in a clinical laboratory setting will also be considered. Previous experience in a hospital laboratory is preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility in work hours and the ability to manage frequent interruptions. Strong independent work capabilities, along with excellent oral and written communication skills, are essential. A high level of confidentiality and responsibility is required.
