Electrical Assembly Technician

Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to perform assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-quality industrial machinery in a manufacturing facility. The Technician will be required to have a hands-on approach to performing job duties, have effective oral and written communication skills, be able to meet deadlines, and complete work accurately. Travel opportunities may be available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and layout drawings to understand the assembly process.
  • Pull wire, terminate, bend conduit, wire motors, and perform electrical maintenance.
  • Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Build and terminate industrial control panels.
  • Follow and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Adhere to company quality and rework standards and expectations.
  • Understand and meet company quality standards and objectives to fulfill customers' needs.
  • Support approved quality and process improvement procedures.
  • Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve quality and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of electrical experience.
  • High School/GED Diploma required; related Associate's Degree/Certification preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs and electrical theory desired.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, comply with company policy and safety protocol, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and working in cramped spaces.
  • Reliability and punctuality are required.
