Academy Leadership Position

Role Overview:
The Academy Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the Academy.
This role entails overall operational management in accordance with established guidelines, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, and maintaining all OCFS Regulations.
The Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately through effective leadership and collaboration with staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a quality vision for the center and maintain adherence to quality standards in accordance with the vision and state and local requirements.
- Develop a general educational curriculum and work closely with lead teachers and the administration to ensure a clear set of lessons and themes are followed in the classrooms.
- Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
- Manage the overall organization, flow, and parental interactions of the center.
- Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure legal compliance and resolve conflicts to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
- Establish illness and emergency procedures and ensure staff is trained appropriately.
- Implement a strategic plan and goals in keeping with the mission of the program.
Training and Expectations:
There is mandatory training that must be completed at hiring and on an annual basis to maintain a position with LE3 INC.
All training completed outside of working hours will be paid for by LE3 INC (time and cost of course).
Employees are expected to create and maintain an accurate and up-to-date profile in The Aspire Registry and connect their ECEPT training account to their Aspire profile.
Working Conditions:
The Academy Director works in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels, and is required to regularly use their fingers to feel, type, and assist using fine motor skills.
The Director is also required to communicate verbally and in writing, and switch communication styles based on the audience.
The Director is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff, and is expected to take physical efforts, such as walking, running, and climbing stairs, to perform their duties.
The Director is also responsible for lifting up to 20 pounds and performing other physical demands of the job.
Core Competencies:
The Academy Director demonstrates and maintains job-related knowledge, effectively communicates with parents, and continues to grow and seek out new skills to perform the job effectively.
The Director also consistently provides direct, competent supervision of the children, and shows kindness and professionalism to all guardians, coworkers, and adult personnel in the building.
