**What We Offer**

We offer a competitive salary range of $205,000 - $250,000 per year, plus a guaranteed bonus of up to $50,000 per year and competitive startup equity offering. As a Principal Rust Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work side-by-side with our founders, contributing to the design and development of high-performance AI features in Spice.ai OSS, libraries like mistral-rs, and enterprise solutions including NVidia NIM.

You'll also have the chance to take ownership of initiatives to improve our offerings and deliver exceptional developer experiences. Our team is dedicated to creating cutting-edge technology that empowers developers to build intelligent applications and agents that learn and adapt.

We're looking for exceptional engineers who are passionate about open source, distributed systems, RAG, and AI internals, and agentic applications. If you're up for the challenge, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performance AI features in Spice.ai OSS, libraries like mistral-rs, and enterprise solutions including NVidia NIM
  • Work side-by-side with the founders as a leader and outstanding contributor in the Spice.ai open-source project
  • Contribute to designing and building the Spice.ai Cloud Platform, and data platforms
  • Take ownership of initiatives to improve our offerings and deliver exceptional developer experiences

Qualifications

  • 2+ years professional Rust experience or 5+ yrs professional C/C++ experience
  • Experience in designing, implementing, scaling, and shipping production distributed and data systems
  • A track record of strong design, architectural, engineering, and product decisions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and hit the ground running
  • Ideally, experience contributing to open-source projects
