Job Title: NDE Technician

Audubon Companies is seeking a highly skilled NDE Technician to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. As an NDE Technician, you will be responsible for conducting conventional NDE inspections for clients in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards and procedures.
  • Travel to clients' locations to conduct inspections.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDE equipment.
  • Conduct inspections on piping, pressure vessels, and storage tanks within facilities and terminals.
  • Perform UTT, MT, and PT inspections, and create inspection ISOs.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of inspection results.
  • Interpret inspection results, complete inspection reports, and present final deliverables to customers.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Assist other technicians in the field as needed.
  • Support and solicit input and feedback from team members at all levels within the organization.
  • Work safely and complete all company and client safety daily paperwork.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in their entirety.
  • Coordinate with Business Development to identify strategic accounts and develop these accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' of facility integrity experience required.
  • Technical background in NDE methods and procedures.
  • NDE experience, ASNT TC-1a Level II or equivalent Certification in UTT and corrosion scanning.
  • Experience in QA/QC functions on a report and NDE method level.
  • Significant experience in report writing.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform the responsibilities of an NDE Technician.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Customer management skills.
  • Able to continually define ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer and market relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key customers to identify future needs and effectively position the company to capitalize on these.
  • Able to ensure the delivery of superior solutions to customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S., without sponsorship.
  • Able to travel 50%.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driver's record.
