Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role will work closely with the Executive Director(s) to support all departments across Kitsap Humane Society, ensuring a positive working environment for staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees
  • Manage employee records, benefits, and performance management
  • Coordinate benefit open enrollment and administer the employee manual
  • Respond to staff questions and handle confidential employee relations
  • Manage various employee leaves, including FMLA and WA State Paid Medical / Family Leave
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Human Resources and/or relevant professional experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor, are essential. Experience with payroll and onboarding systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software designed to perform essential HR functions is required.
