The Role and Responsibilities

The Design Release Engineer is responsible for leading the development of ECU/sensor design for ADAS and Chassis features while collaborating with suppliers and Engineering Support teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Tier 1 suppliers to design, develop, and integrate ECUs into multiple OEM vehicles
  • Defining and performing ECU validation for bench, system, and vehicle level
  • Maintaining EBOM and drawing releases for different stages of vehicle milestones
  • Performing Component and System FMEA
  • Performing warranty data analysis on returned ECUs, identifying issues, and working with suppliers to implement corrective actions
  • Creating and managing engineering change requests to suppliers
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of CAN-based communication and tools
  • Outstanding communication and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive component/module release experience
  • Program management experience
