About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fiber Technician to join our team at Spectrum. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for locating and repairing fiber impairments in the field, working primarily independently while examining existing fiber plant and connecting new builds for residential and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field
  • Examine existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers
  • Work primarily independently while maintaining team support when needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, and BCT/E)
  • At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance tech or equivalent work experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communications skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in electronics or a related field
  • Basic computer knowledge for occasional work in the office
