Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Hay Creek Hotels. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement event strategies and plans.
  • Coordinate and manage event logistics, including setup, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to event planners, guests, and staff, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Manage and train a team of banquet staff, including housemen, servers, and bartenders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control event budgets, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute menus, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a banquet or event management role.
  • Proven track record of success in event planning, execution, and management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
