Job Summary

Houlihan's Restaurant and Bar is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items to company standards, maintaining food costs, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare menu items according to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Food Cost Control: Ensure products are accurately portioned, prepared as specified on the ticket or KDS screen, and follow standardized recipes.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, coolers, and storage areas, and follow proper safety procedures and policies concerning food handling, rotation, and storage.
  • Team Support: Assist team members with prep work, washing and restocking dishes, and providing guest service by communicating and cooperating with the front-of-house staff.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours, ability to see at a distance, communicate clearly, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and dish and cleaning chemicals.
