We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ER), and other medical units.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
- Coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients and their families.
- Orient and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into the Critical Care Float Pool team.
- Graduate of an accredited degree program in professional nursing.
- Two years or more of experience in a Critical Care setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
